A guided walk through memory, resistance, and the stories that shaped Florianópolis, but are rarely told.
Did you know that the Historic Center of Desterro, the former Florianópolis, bears deep marks from the slave period?
This itinerary proposes a new look at these spaces, revealing the Black roots that sustain Desterro's history.
The route passes through some of the historical points in the center of the Island of Santa Catarina, allowing reflections on how the Black presence was silenced in official discourses, but never ceased to exist.
An invitation to (re)discover Florianópolis from those who built its paths: the Black people.
